Question 1

What does the app actually do?

Accepted Answer

Yooniz is an app that helps parents work with their kids instead of against them. The parent sets a daily schedule and tasks for the child, and every task is worth Yoon (a virtual currency with real monetary value). The child earns real money, buys things from their own balance and sets savings goals. The result: fewer fights over tasks and screen time, more independence and financial education from a young age.

Question 2

Does it make the child materialistic?

Accepted Answer

Quite the opposite. The goal is not to 'pay the child for everything', but to teach them the natural link between responsibility, choice and outcome. The parent decides what is part of the routine and what is rewarded. The child learns that money doesn't come from the wall but from responsibility and contributing to the home, just like an adult. Love is not up for negotiation. Contributing to the family does deserve recognition.

Question 3

How does it work day to day?

Accepted Answer

You build a daily schedule with tasks that appear in the child's app by the hour. The child marks 'done' and receives Yoon automatically. Recurring tasks reappear tomorrow. If the child misses a task, nothing is deducted unless you turned on a penalty for that task. All with automatic reminders and a progress bar.

Question 4

How do you manage screen time and purchases?

Accepted Answer

Screen time is a daily time window the parent and child agree on in advance. If the child uses less, the unused minutes can turn into Yoon. For purchases: the parent approves, and it's deducted from the child's balance in money + in Yoon.

Question 5

What is a Yoon? Is it real money?

Accepted Answer

Yoon is the virtual currency of Yooniz with real monetary value (the plural is also Yoon, '50 Yoon in the wallet'). The parent decides how much each Yoon is worth (default: ₪0.10). When the child completes a task they earn Yoon; when they buy something it goes down. That's how they learn financial education through real money, without kids carrying cash.

Question 6

Is the children's data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Only the parent manages the family, adds children, sets tasks, approves purchases and chooses what to share. The child's data is visible only to family members and is not sold to any third party. Payments are secured through Stripe. Cancel anytime with one click.

Question 7

What if the child cheats and marks a task they didn't do?

Accepted Answer

The parent chooses: turn on approval and the Yoon transfer only after the parent confirms with one click, or keep instant credit and undo any task that wasn't done. Besides, the child knows that if they cheat, the parent sees it. It also becomes an important educational conversation about trust.

Question 8

How many children can I add to the family?

Accepted Answer

There's no limit. You can add all the children in the home, each with their own profile and independent balance. You can also add a second parent for shared control.

Question 9

What happens after the first month?

Accepted Answer

After the first month you'll be charged $7.99/month or $69/year — your choice. Cancel anytime with one click, no questions asked. If you cancel before the end of the first month, you won't be charged for the next month.
