The Yooniz currency

Meet the Yoon

Yooniz's virtual currency, with real monetary value. The parent sets how much each Yoon is worth (default: $0.03).

Kids earn Yoon for tasks, save them in their pocket, and can buy screen time, purchases, or save up for a bigger goal.

Y

Example: each Yoon is worth $0.03

How it works at home

Set it up in three minutes, then your kid and the app do the work.

1

Set up routine & tasks

Morning routine, homework, chores, shower, bedtime. Each one with a value in Yoon.

2

Kid does the task & earns

App reminds. Kid marks 'done'. Parent approves. Yoon go to the pocket.

3

Kid decides: screen time or saving

Instead of asking, the kid asks themselves: spend now or save? Less fighting, more autonomy.

⏱️ Initial setup: 3 to 5 minutes. After that, about a minute a day to approve what the kids did.

Everything your family needs, in one place.

Synced Daily Schedule

Every kid knows the next step without being reminded, and you see it all at a glance.

Tasks & Rewards

Kids know what's expected, earn Yoon themselves, and redeem them for what matters to them.

The habit engine that brings kids back

A daily streak, saver levels and badges. Kids come back every day on their own.

Screen Time the Kid Owns

The kid manages their own screen time. Every minute they choose not to spend becomes Yoon, and the choice is always theirs.

Purchase tracking

Every purchase is logged with a clear history. Always know what was bought and what wasn't.

Account activity

Like a little bank account: every plus, every minus, the balance. They learn to manage money.

Financial Education

Kids learn where money comes from, how to save, and why it pays off. Habits for life.

Goal Setting

The kid picks a goal and saves toward it themselves. Success that builds confidence and grit.

Reading rewards

A daily reading streak and a book-finish bonus. Your kid reads because they want to, not because you asked again.

Family charter

Build a family values poster together, everyone signs, hang it up. Boundaries by agreement, not decree.

Personal access for every kid

Each kid logs in and sees only their own — on a shared tablet or their device, via a simple code.

Full transparency for parents

You see exactly what it costs you each month

The family economy board shows what each kid costs you, task by task. Set your monthly budget and the system rebalances task values to keep you on target. No end-of-month surprises.

How do I get my kid out the door in the morning without yelling?
Turn the morning into a short chain of tasks with a small reward at the end. The kid chases the win, not you chasing them. ⏰

Tried the free options?

Here's why they usually don't last more than a week.

A chore chart on the fridge

After a week, kids stop looking at it. Nothing reminds them, nothing rewards them, and you're back to asking for the same things over and over.

Weekly cash allowance

The kid gets the money no matter what they did. No lesson on responsibility, effort, or saving. They blow it in one day.

Google Family Link or Apple Screen Time

They just block the screen. The kid doesn't understand why, gets upset, and it becomes another daily fight. With us, the kid earns their screen time and decides when to use it.

A regular task app (Todoist, Trello)

Those apps are built for adults at work. No rewards, no fun, no currency, no savings goals. An 8-year-old just won't open something like that.

A rare app. Since we got it, the whole family takes part in the housework. Everyone ends up satisfied and rewarded, and some things have already become habits. Easy to use for every age.

A genius app every parent needs. I've been using it with my kids for over a month, and suddenly they have an organized day. No more screen-time arguments, and they're starting to understand money. There's even a support chat for any parenting question. Simply amazing!

An excellent app that changed the motivation and atmosphere at home. Everyone knows their tasks, and the kids manage a fair, agreed 'account'. After countless methods I tried, this is a genius way to cooperate as a family without arguments.

Wow. The app helped me build a new routine at home. The kids do their tasks without arguments and understand they need to manage their money wisely. Genius!

We've been using Yooniz for five days, and just wow. It's amazing to see how it gives the kids a real drive to act, from showering and brushing teeth to folding laundry, tidying their room and reading. The resistance dropped dramatically, and their motivation to help at home shot sky-high.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Experience with 5,000+ parents

Why we built Yooniz

After working with over 5,000 parents, we kept hearing the same frustration: mornings became a battlefield. Fights over homework. Evenings a screen-time argument. Yelling and arguing with the kids.

Parents who tried everything. Point charts on the fridge, stickers, blocking apps, cash allowance. All lasted briefly and were forgotten. We realized the problem isn't the kid. It's the missing system that connects effort to outcome.

We built Yooniz so parents can stop being cops. So kids can see, choose, earn, and learn real responsibility.

FAQ

  • Yooniz helps parents work with their kids instead of against them. You set up a daily routine and tasks for your kid (tidy room, homework, brush teeth, activities), and each task earns Yoon (a virtual currency with real monetary value). The kid earns real money for contributing at home, buys things they want from their pocket, and sets their own savings goals. Result: less fighting over chores and screen time, more independence, financial education from a young age.
  • You build a daily schedule of tasks that appear in your kid's app at specific times (e.g., 7:00 to 7:15 brush teeth). The kid sees the task, marks 'done' when finished, and earns Yoon automatically. Recurring tasks reset each day. If the kid misses a task, Yoon are deducted (like a docked day at work). All with auto-reminders, progress bars, and animations.
  • Screen time is a 'product' in the app. The parent sets the cost per 30 minutes (default $1). The kid can buy extra screen time from their pocket. Purchases work the same: when you're at the store and your kid asks for something, check they have enough, buy it, and enter the purchase in the app. It deducts from their pocket. The kid learns 'I worked for this' instead of 'dad bought me this'.
  • The kid sets their own savings goal (e.g., bike for $200) with a photo and target date. The app shows a progress bar: how much they've saved toward the goal. You can see your kids' goals and help them work toward them. This teaches goal-setting, perseverance, and delayed gratification, some of the most important life skills.
  • Yooniz is built like a game: a daily streak the kid keeps and doesn't want to break, saver levels (from 'Beginner' to 'Savings Champion'), and achievement badges. You can also turn on a streak bonus and small interest on savings, teaching the kid that money left in the wallet actually grows. Screen time works in reverse too: minutes the kid didn't use can be 'banked' for Yoon. All of it brings the kid back on their own.
  • Yoon is the virtual coin of Yooniz, and it has real monetary value. The parent sets how much each Yoon is worth (default: $0.03 = 1 Yoon). When the kid does a task they earn Yoon; when they buy something it's deducted. This teaches them financial education through real money, without kids carrying cash.
  • After that you'll be charged $7.99/month or $79/year, your choice. Cancel anytime with one click, no questions asked.
  • No limit. Add all your kids. Each gets their own profile, Yoon balance, and personal tasks. You can also add a second parent for shared control.
  • No! There's a special 'kids mode' for shared tablets. The kid opens the app in their own mode and only sees their tasks and pocket. Works with their own phone too if they have one.
  • The app is designed to be fun and game-like for kids: animations, flying coins, progress bars. Most kids quickly get hooked when they see they're earning real money. Tip: start with small easy tasks (brush teeth, tidy room) and rewards they actually want, and within a week they'll be asking for more tasks.
  • The opposite. The goal isn't 'paying kids for everything'. It's teaching the natural connection between responsibility, choice, and outcome, just like an adult earns at work. You decide what's part of the routine (hugging dad, saying thank you) and what's rewarded (taking on a home task, persisting at effort). Kids learn to value effort and to think before spending. Not to chase money. Love isn't negotiated. Contributing to the family deserves recognition.
  • Parents see and approve tasks before Yoon go to the pocket. If the kid checks 'done' but didn't actually do it, you just don't approve. Most tasks are visible by nature (clean room, brushed teeth) so easy to verify. If it does happen, it's a teaching moment about trust and how shortcuts don't lead to real rewards.
  • Only your family. We don't sell data, don't use kids' data for ad targeting, and don't share with third parties (except essential backend providers like Google Firebase and Stripe for payments). Full details in our Privacy Policy.
  • You control the scale entirely. Example: a kid doing 5 daily tasks at 1 Yoon ($0.03) each = ~$5/month. They can earn more on bigger tasks and less on basics. Some parents set $15/month, others $30. Either way, it's less than they'd waste on impulse buys they'd forget in a week.
  • Yes. Data is stored on secure Google Firebase servers, all traffic is TLS 1.3 encrypted, and passwords are hashed. Payments are processed directly by Stripe, we never see your card number. Automated daily backups and periodic security audits. See our Privacy Policy.
